The workshop was organized on May 7-9, 2014 by THOHUN-NCO. It was divided into two main sessions: curriculum mapping and evaluation. The first part focused on methodologies to map Thailand OHCC domains under the Thai Qualifications Framework (TQF) for Higher Education in existing curricula among THOHUN members. OHCC gaps in the curricula could be identified for further improvement or revision of various curricula. The second part emphasized on fundamentals and techniques to evaluate courses and align course objectives with evaluation principles. Participants had the chance to practice evaluation planning for a program and learning objectives of their current courses.
Participants included lecturers and faculty staff who direct work with curricula, education, and OHCCs. Faculties represented included Nursing, Veterinary Medicine/Science, Medicine, Tropical Medicine, Public Health, Associate Medical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dentistry, Environment Science and Resource Studies, and of Environmental Management, as well as ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Institute of Molecular Biosciences. Their universities included six THOHUN university members, comprising of Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, Khon Kaen University, Mahidol University, and Prince of Songkla University.
Seven (7) trainers/instructors were from the Faculty of Tropical Medicine and Faculty of Environment Science and Resource Studies, Mahidol University; the School of Medicine, Tufts University; DAI-RESPOND, and the Colleges of Education and Human Development, University of Minnesota.
