THOHUN Annual Meeting 2017

Completing of THOHUN Year 3 implementation, “THOHUN Annual Meeting 2017” was aimed to present the implemented THOHUN projects and activities. The meeting also served as a venue for those engaged One Health-related activities to present their work through oral presentations. The meeting was organized in Bangkok on August 21-22, 2017 Furthermore, participants also discussed strategies to enhance the capacity of the network towards Year 4.

Assoc. Prof. Parntep Ratanakorn started the meeting with the welcome speech.

Prof. Dr. Saul Tzipori, Deputy Director of OHW Project, gave a talk on “Strategies for Network Sustainability”.

Dr. Supamit Chunsuttiwat from Bureau of Emerging Infectious Diseases, Ministry of Public Health Thailand, gave a talk on “The Implementation Plan Under the Memorandum of Understanding on (MoU) the Implementation of One Health Initiative for National Health Security”.

Mr. Richard Nyberg, Senior Regional Communications Advisor of USAID, gave some activity about “Increasing Network Visibility” session.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Saengduen Moonsom, Coordinator, THOHUN-National Coordinating Office, presented about “Overview of THOHUN Activities”

Following up on “THOHUN Research Grants” in Year 2, our eight presenters presented their research results. This activity aimed to strengthen research capacity for researchers and students among THOHUN’s member universities.
