The first One Health Economics Course by THOHUN and Nossal Institute of Global Health, University of Melbourne

Warm and fruitful environment of three days of the One Health Economics course, which is the collaborative efforts of One Health and Economic experts from Nossal Institute of Global Health, University of Melbourne, Division of Social Administrative Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University and THOHUN with the financial support from SPARK project, Australia. Forty (40) participants who are the faculty staff and researchers from ten (10) THOHUN member universities (Mahidol University, Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, Thammasat University, Chulalongkorn University, Prince of Songkla University, Kasetsart University, Mae Fah Luang Univeristy, Maejo University and Burapha University); three ministries (Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Ministry of National Resource and Environment) of Thailand and Bhutan, and awardee of a 2023 National Security Education Program (NSEP) David L. Boren Scholarship, the Institute of International Education (IIE), USA.
Principles of Microeconomics; One Health issues; One Health Economic evaluation methods; Economic evaluation of the interventions (a Cost-Benefits Analysis, Cost-Utility Analysis and other methods; Cost consequence analysis, Social return on investment and Policy development) were delivered. Participants had also the chance to practice on analyze and apply the One Health Economics principles and tools to address the local One Health issues
