THOHUN Conducts "Training of Trainers and Pilot of One Health Course for Vocational Students & Workers" Workshop in Ayutthaya

The Thailand One Health University Network (THOHUN) conducted a workshop titled “Training of Trainers and Pilot of One Health Course for Vocational Students & Workers” from May 8-10, 2024, in Ayutthaya Province. The workshop aimed to develop lead trainers capable of effectively training students by incorporating seven core competencies into the learning and prevention process.

The core competencies covered in the workshop included:

  1. One Health Concept and Knowledge: Providing an understanding of the interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health.
  2. Ethics, Values, Culture, Beliefs, and Public Spirit: Promoting respect and understanding of diverse values and cultural backgrounds.
  3. Planning and Management: Enhancing skills in planning and managing health-related projects.
  4. Systems Thinking: Developing skills to analyze and address health issues through a systems-thinking approach.
  5. Communication and Information Technology: Improving effective communication and the use of information technology.
  6. Leadership in Vocational Education: Building leadership skills in the field of vocational education.
  7. Collaboration and Partnership: Supporting teamwork and building partnerships to address health challenges.

This workshop aimed to prepare educators and students for comprehensive and sustainable health work, emphasizing the practical application of acquired skills and knowledge.

The initiative is part of THOHUN’s ongoing efforts to enhance the learning and development capabilities of health personnel in Thailand, enabling them to effectively respond to current and future health challenges.
